Last Saturday American Music Academy hosted their first in person recital since Covid. It was held at “The Museum of Making Music” in Carlsbad California. The Moyers live at Lake San Marcos in North San Diego County.
There were 22 students who performed ranging from 5 to 82 years old and both Cathi and Dave accompanied several students, Cathi on piano and Dave on guitar. Students played piano, guitar, clarinet and sang. Every student and teacher gathered at the end for a picture taking session.
Water was served, and cookies made by Chef Josh Porter were given out at the end of the recital. Our thanks to the Museum of Making Music staff for their top drawer set up and kindness.
American Music Academy will host a Christmas Student “Concert” in December of 2021. The students involved will be picked by audition. This event will be open to the public . We had almost 100 attend last Saturdays recital so with seating capacity at 125 we will need to know several weeks in advance if you are planning on attending.
